About me

I am a physiotherapist with over 20 years of clinical experience, with a particular interest in supporting women experiencing changes in movement, strength, and comfort during peri- and post-menopause.

I graduated from Griffith University in Queensland with a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Master of Physiotherapy, before moving to the UK where I spent over a decade working within the NHS. During this time, I worked across respiratory, medical and oncology settings, as well as in musculoskeletal practice. This breadth of experience shaped my understanding that pain and movement concerns are often influenced by multiple factors rather than a single structure alone.

Over time, I developed a strong interest in approaches that consider the body as a connected system, particularly when symptoms persist or do not respond as expected. This led me to undertake advanced training in Fascial Manipulation® in Italy with the Stecco team. I later became a Certified Fascial Manipulation Specialist, integrating this approach into my physiotherapy practice.

Fascial Manipulation® focuses on the fascial system, a connective tissue network that links muscles, joints, and other structures throughout the body. Where appropriate, this approach may be used alongside physiotherapy to support movement and function.

This perspective is particularly relevant during peri- and post-menopause, when hormonal changes may influence connective tissue behaviour. Some women notice increased stiffness, reduced mobility, or ongoing discomfort during this time, and treatment is tailored to support individual needs and goals.

I also have a particular interest in scar therapy and rehabilitation. Scars from surgery or injury, including procedures such as caesarean sections or breast surgery, may influence how surrounding tissues move and function. Where appropriate, treatment may include consideration of both the scar and the wider body.

My approach is always individualised, with the aim of helping you move more comfortably, feel more supported in your body, and return to the activities that are important to you.
